Analytics

Know when it landed. Nothing more.

A PDF tells you nothing after you send it. A pitch page tells you it was opened, how far they watched, and which of them it was. It does that without a cookie, without keeping an IP address, and without following anyone anywhere else.

Longest visit3–10 min on page

A sample page’s analytics. Every figure shown is something PitchPage records; none of it identifies anyone.

What is measured

Opens

One view per person per ten minutes. Someone re-reading your page does not inflate the number.

Video watch depth

How far into your introduction they actually got, not just that they pressed play. Each milestone counts once per person.

Resume downloads

Whether they took the file with them, which is usually the moment a page has done its job.

Scroll depth

The furthest point of the page they reached, recorded once per visit.

Time on page

Counted only while the tab is visible and focused, in 15-second beats, and only ever shown as a coarse band.

Which link they used

Give each recipient their own tracked link and the opens separate themselves, with no read receipt to ask for.

Time is a band, not a stopwatch

A tab being open is not the same as someone reading. PitchPage counts only visible, focused time, and reports it as one of five bands. These are the only readings it can give you.

  1. 15–30 sec on page
  2. 30–60 sec on page
  3. 1–3 min on page
  4. 3–10 min on page
  5. 10+ min on page

Who a visitor is

A visitor is a random identifier, generated in their browser the first time they open your page and kept in that browser’s own storage. It is not a fingerprint: it is not derived from their device, it cannot be matched to them, and it does not exist on any other site. Clearing site data destroys it. If their browser blocks storage entirely, the id lives only for that single pageload.

So PitchPage can tell you the same browser came back twice. It cannot tell you a name, an address, or an employer, and neither can we. If you want to know which person opened your page, that comes from giving each of them a different tracked link, not from identifying them.

What is never kept

  • No cookie is set on a published page. There is no banner because there is nothing to consent to.
  • No IP address is stored, raw or hashed. One is held in memory briefly, as a key that stops a single machine flooding your counts, and is never written down.
  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are obeyed. That visit is not recorded at all and you are not notified of it.
  • From the referring page only the host name is kept, never the full URL.
  • The browser string is reduced to mobile, desktop or bot before anything is saved.

The full policy is in the privacy notice.
